The Saudi Foreign Ministry has warned its citizens against travel to Lebanon due to the unstable political and security situation, as reported by al-Sharq al-Awsat.

Meanwhile, al-Hayat reports that the Kuwaiti Parliament has forcefully condemned a mourning ceremony held by Kuwaiti Shi’a for the assassinated Hezbullah leader ‘Amad al-Mughniya. Kuwait has a Sunni majority, but there are five Shi’i representatives in Parliament. The group al-Tahluf al-Islami al-Watani — which has been labeled the “Kuwaiti Hezbullah” in the Kuwaiti press — confirmed that there was a ceremony at a husayniyya in al-Ramithiyya, in the south-east of the capital.

Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are both strong US allies.
